Friday, Nov. 10 – Bob Dylan – Bob Dylan and His Band play the Richmond Coliseum. This is the third time the septuagenarian Nobel laureate has played Richmond in five years. Last time, he played the Altria. Now, he’s moved up to an even bigger venue at the Coliseum. With Mavis Staples as the special opener. 7:30 p.m. Richmond Coliseum, 601 East Leigh St. $57.50 and up.
Starting Friday through Saturday – Santa Arrival at Malls & Ice Rinks Open – Santa arrives at Short Pump Town Center at 11800 West Broad Street on Friday with a parade and tree lighting at 7:30 p.m. The nearby rink at West Broad Village at 2301 Old Brick Road, Glen Allen also opens for the season on Friday. There will be a tree lighting at Chesterfield Towne Center at 11500 Midlothian Turnpike on Friday, music from Glennroy Bailey Trio and an appearance from Santa, starting at 6 p.m. The ice rink at Stony Point Fashion Park at 9200 Stony Point Parkway opens this Saturday with a tree lighting, a performance from James River Ice Theatre, the arrival of Santa and more from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. There will also be pet photos with Santa on Sunday.
Friday, Nov. 10 – John Cleese and the Holy Grail – “Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!” The master of slapstick comedy, John Cleese, comes to town for a live stage show, along with a full screening of “Monty Python & the Holy Grail.” He’ll answer all your silly and burning questions – like where the famous ending came from – in the Q&A moderated by his daughter Camilla Cleese. 7:30 p.m. Altria Theater, 6 N. Saturday, Nov. 11 – Richmond Cider Celebration – In partnership with the Virginia Cider Association, Cider Celebration 2017 coincides with the statewide celebration of Virginia’s cider industry, Cider Week VA, and Enrichmond is thrilled to be presenting the event! Eleven cideries will be present. 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. 17th St. Farmers Market.
