Starts Saturday – Richmond Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” – It’s here, Richmond. Time to dress up your kids in party dresses and clip-on ties for Richmond Ballet’s holiday spectacle (or maybe that’s just me). Saturday & Sunday – Holiday House Tours: The Fan & Church Hill – Many of Richmond’s most beautiful houses dress up for the holidays and open their doors for holiday house tours this weekend. The Fan District Association Holiday House Tour is Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10, from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Saturday, Dec. 9 – Tacky Light Run – If you like to view your Tacky Lights while getting in some exercise, the Tacky Light Run is for you. Dress yourself up with bright lights or as a jolly old elf and join the runners through the holiday-friendly neighborhood of Walton Park, known to many as “Christmas Court.” Beginning at 6 p.m. (packet pickup 3-5:30) at Midlothian Mines Park, 13301 N.
