Thursday – Magician David Blaine – David Blaine, the magician-illusionist-stuntman who was buried alive in New York for a week and survived 44 days in a transparent box in London, is coming to Richmond. Friday – Friday Cheers – It’s the last Friday Cheers concert of the season — already?! — and not to be missed. Oklahoma country sextet The Turnpike Troubadours (pictured), who keep blasting through the Billboard Top 20 with their indie releases, are coming to town on their latest, “A Long Way From Your Heart.” Get ready for rip-worthy bluegrass tunes, such as “The Housefire” and “Gin, Smoke, Lies.” 6-9 p.m. at Brown’s Island, Fifth and Tredegar streets. $10.
Saturday – Ludacris – Rapper and actor Ludacris — known for his hits “Stand Up,” “Get Back” and “Money Maker,” as well as for his acting chops in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and the “Fast and Furious” movies — will perform at Innsbrook After Hours. His most recent single, “Vitamin D” with Ty Dolla Sign, was released last year. Saturday – Impractical Jokers – The Tenderloins are a New York-based comedy troupe who star in truTV’s “Impractical Jokers,” where they do silly public pranks while being filmed by hidden cameras.
