Friday – Sunday – Bruce Bruce – Larger than life comedian Bruce Bruce brings his stand-up set to Richmond for three nights in a row. The former host of BET’s “Comic View” has appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” and “Showtime at the Apollo” and has had a long-running stand-up career. Saturday – Väsen’s One Year Anniversary Beer Festival – Väsen Brewing, known for its Belgian-style beers and sour ales, is throwing a giant parking lot party in Scott’s Addition with beer from a dozen Richmond breweries, music from Bio Ritmo and others, food trucks and more. 3,000 expected to attend. Saturday – 48 Hour Film Project – The 48 Hour Film Project has been going strong in Richmond for several years. Filmmaker teams raced around the city, making their 48-hour films last week.
