Friday and Saturday – InLight Richmond – InLight returns to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ Sculpture Garden for two nights of illuminated works from over 20 artists. Stroll through the garden to see light-based performances, sculpture, video, and interactive projects that respond to this year’s theme of “One Richmond.” InLight kicks off with a Community Lantern Parade. Food trucks will be on-site, and beer and wine will be for sale. 7 p.m.-midnight Friday, 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, 200 N. Boulevard. Hosted by 1708 Gallery. Free.

Friday – Sunday – Craft + Design – Craft + Design preview party, 6-9 p.m. Friday; $50 for VisArts members, $55 for the general public. Jump-start your holiday shopping by browsing the works of over 150 artists at this annual event from the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. There will be jewelry, ceramics, textiles, furniture, wearable art and more. Main Street Station, 1500 E. Main St. General admission shopping hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Saturday – Ray LaMontagne – Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Ray LaMontagne swings through town on his “Just Passing Through” acoustic tour, accompanied by Wilco’s John Stirratt on bass. He released his latest album, “Part of the Light,” in May. It features the luminous single “Such a Simple Thing,” which was played on the season finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” and which he performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” 8 p.m. at Carpenter Theatre, Dominion Energy Center, 600 E. Sunday – Aziz Ansari – Actor and comedian Aziz Ansari of “Master of None” and “Parks and Recreation” fame stops in Richmond on his latest stand-up tour, 7 p.m. at Altria Theater, 6 N. Laurel St. $22-$67.
