Friday and Saturday – InLight Richmond – InLight returns to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ Sculpture Garden for two nights of illuminated works from over 20 artists. Stroll through the garden to see light-based performances, sculpture, video, and interactive projects that respond to this year’s theme of “One Richmond.” InLight kicks off with a Community Lantern Parade. Food trucks will be on-site, and beer and wine will be for sale. 7 p.m.-midnight Friday, 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, 200 N. Boulevard. Hosted by 1708 Gallery. Free.
Friday – Sunday – Craft + Design – Craft + Design preview party, 6-9 p.m. Friday; $50 for VisArts members, $55 for the general public. Jump-start your holiday shopping by browsing the works of over 150 artists at this annual event from the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. Saturday – Ray LaMontagne – Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Ray LaMontagne swings through town on his “Just Passing Through” acoustic tour, accompanied by Wilco’s John Stirratt on bass. He released his latest album, “Part of the Light,” in May.
