The butterflies are back in town! Head over to Lewis Ginter’s Conservatory for this uniquely immersive experience, where butterflies perform extreme fly-bys and might even roost on your lucky T-shirt. Saturday – Dominion Energy Family Easter
This sprawling Easter spread features themed games, crafts, entertainment, and food vendors. Strap on your hiking boots to search the grounds for the elusive golden eggs or bring a blanket and get comfy while watching performances from Bach to Rock, Richmond Urban Dance, SPARC and other groups. Whether you regularly forage for fungi in the wild or simply like magical shitakes piled high on your pizza pie, Mushroom Mania has something on the menu for you. The event is part market, part classroom, with 40-plus vendors and mushroom knowledge being dropped in workshops and demos. There’s even a costume contest to cap off the fun. Saturday – Bunny Hop
Hardywood has nailed the formula for family fun: kid-friendly activities + top-shelf craft beer. Kiddos will enjoy a petting zoo, photos with the Easter Bunny, and Easter Egg hunts organized into age groups while adults get their hops on.
